Why it's useful
Léa opens the VaultysHub address, clicks a button, scans a QR code, and validates with her fingerprint. She is logged in without having typed anything.
Without a password, there’s nothing to remember, nothing to reuse, and nothing to be stolen. Your browser and your phone together prove your identity.
Your turn
- Open the address of your VaultysHub, then click on Log in with VaultysID. → Login screen
- Step 1, browser security. This only happens once per browser. If your administrator has set it up, choose the method: software key, Passkey, or hardware key. → Step 1
- Step 2, authentication. Scan the QR code with VaultysID, choose your profile and identify yourself (PIN code, biometrics, or FIDO key). → Login to a compatible application
- Step 3, verification. You arrive at your dashboard. If a message appears instead, refer to the table below.
- Reconnect. Log out and then come back: VaultysHub displays the accounts already used on this browser. Click on yours. → Accounts already used on this browser
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| Your dashboard | You are authorized, everything is normal. |
| A warning message | First time using this browser. The security policy allows you to enter after reading the message. |
| A pending approval | An administrator must approve this new device. You will be notified. |
| A denial | The browser does not meet security rules, or your account does not exist or has been disabled. Contact your administrator. |
tip
To log in with another VaultysID account on the same browser, click on Log in as a new user.
Check your knowledge
1How many times does the 'Browser Security' step occur?
2What do you scan with VaultysID to authenticate?
3After scanning, a screen indicates that your login requires approval. Why?
Remember
- Log in with VaultysID, scan, validate: that’s it.
- The browser registration only happens once.
- A warning, pending approval, or denial comes from your organization’s policy. If in doubt, ask your administrator.
