Why it's useful

Before VaultysHub, Léa would have received a dozen identifiers: one for messaging, one for the CRM, one for the HR tool… So many passwords to invent, to remember, and to be stolen.

A large part of cyberattacks exploits human error: a weak password, reused, or entered on a fake page. VaultysHub reduces this risk by providing you with a single entry point to your applications, with a passwordless login.

You will use three components:

ComponentWhereRole
VaultysIDYour smartphoneYour "personal key". It proves your identity by scanning a QR code.
The VaultysHub portalYour browserYour homepage: all the applications your organization gives you access to.
The VaultysHub extensionYour browserYour applications in one click from the toolbar. Depending on the activated modules, it also fills in your credentials and protects you from fake login pages.

Your turn

  1. Read the presentation of VaultysHub.
  2. Read the presentation of VaultysID. Remember the image of the multi-lock key: your administrator has configured the "lock" of VaultysHub to accept your VaultysID.
  3. Browse the Browser extension page to see what the extension looks like. You will install it in lesson 5.

Check your knowledge

1Where is VaultysID installed?
2How many passwords do you need to remember to log in to VaultysHub?
3What is the browser extension for?

To remember

  • VaultysID on the phone = your identity.
  • The portal = the list of your applications.
  • The extension = your applications in the browser, in one click.
