Why It's Useful
Not all DataFlow applications can connect with VaultysHub yet. For the accounting tool, Léa saves her password in the company's vault. The extension then enters it for her, and she deletes the passwords saved in her browser.
Passwords saved in a browser or in a file are easy to steal. The manager centralizes them in a secure place and allows the extension to enter them for you.
Your Turn
- Explore the three vaults. The page has two tabs: Vault (company vault, then your personal entries) and Shares: → The three vaults
| Vault | Content |
|---|---|
| Company Vault | The applications of your organization that you have access to: your personal password and shared credentials from the folder, if applicable. |
| My Personal Vault | Sites outside the organization's catalog, or those you do not yet have access to. |
| Shared with Me (tab Shares) | The passwords that a colleague has shared with you. They automatically expire after 30 minutes. |
- Save a company password. In the company vault, click on an application and add your credentials. → Manage an application's passwords
- Add a personal entry in My Personal Vault, using Add a Password.
- Import from your browser. Click on Import and choose your browser or your old manager (Bitwarden, LastPass, 1Password…). Follow the export instructions, drop the CSV file, uncheck what you do not want to keep, and then click on Import. → Import passwords
- Check the strength of your passwords with the Password Strength button. Replace those marked weak or very weak. → Password Strength
caution
The file exported from your browser contains your passwords in plain text. Delete it as soon as the import is complete, and don't forget the recycle bin.
Check Your Knowledge

- Three vaults: company, personal, shared with me, in the Shares tab (30 minutes).
