Why It's Useful

Léa installs VaultysID on the subway, even before arriving at the office. Five minutes later, her identity is ready: all she has to do is scan the login QR code.

VaultysID contains your decentralized digital identity. It is under your control: Vaultys does not collect your personal data or identifiers. It will open VaultysHub for you, and then all the applications of your organization.

Your Turn

1. Check your phone. It requires iOS 16.4 or later, or Android 12 or later. A phone less than three years old is generally suitable. → Required Equipment

2. Install the application from the App Store or Google Play. The QR codes and links are in the iOS or Android tab of the page Install VaultysID.

3. Follow the setup wizard (detailed steps):

   1. choose the language and theme;
   2. wait for the device time verification, phone online;
   3. choose to create your identity (import is for restoring a backup, see lesson 2);
   4. enter your details or remain anonymous;
   5. press Create my VaultysID.

4. Optional: expert mode. It allows you to choose the protection of your identity:

   • Passkey: the best compromise between security and simplicity, recommended for most users;
   • FIDO2: a hardware key, the highest level of security, recommended for administrators and decision-makers;
   • Software: identity stored in the application, protected by a PIN code.

5. Explore the settings: theme, language, help. → Settings
