Prepare the Deployment
This lesson is based on the setup guide, stored in the Integration section of the manual. It is about the integration of VaultysHub into your company: a deployment guide, included for everyone. It has nothing to do with the paid Integration module (SCIM, webhooks, API, directory import), which has its own training.
Objectives
Why it's useful
Before touching VaultysHub, Karim spends half a day with a spreadsheet: who works at Comptalys, in which team, and what tools each one uses. This list saves him hours later, as files, users, and applications directly stem from it.
A successful deployment is primarily an organizational project. VaultysHub does not require any particular technical skills from the administrator: it requires method.
Your turn
- Designate the administrator. Review their missions and the expected qualities in Choose an administrator: organized, trustworthy, comfortable with a spreadsheet. This could be the manager, their assistant, a trusted employee, or the IT service provider.
- List the collaborators. For each: name, first name, professional email, possibly phone and groups (marketing, accounting, management…). An example file can be found in Configuration.
- Inventory the applications. For each: name, URL, password login or not, and group that uses it. Same page of the manual.
- Prepare the calendar. The diagram of Setup goes from the appointment of the administrator to the post-launch meeting. Place your dates there.
- Prepare your message to the collaborators. Draw inspiration from For the collaborators: explain the benefit (security and convenience) and what changes for them on a daily basis.
The groups from your listing foreshadow the folders of lesson 4. Do not seek perfection: everything can be adjusted later in VaultysHub.

To remember
- The setup guide is a deployment guide, not the Integration module.
- The listing of collaborators, groups, and applications prepares everything else.
- The communication to collaborators is part of the project, just like the configuration.
