What the module provides​

Shadow IT refers to tools adopted by teams without going through IT: a storage space, a messaging system, a project management tool. They are useful, but they escape security, compliance, and tracking of departures. The Shadow IT module:

  • detects these applications from the browser extension, with or without user consent;
  • gathers them in an inventory of the portal;
  • allows you to review, authorize, or convert them into managed applications.

Sophie, the IT manager of an agency with 60 people, is convinced that everyone shares their files on the company's server. A week after activating the module, the inventory shows four file transfer services and two project management tools. She integrates two into VaultysHub and blocks the rest.

Pricing and Activation​

€9 per user per year, in addition to the basic offer. Activation is carried out by Vaultys, without service interruption. See Pricing and Modules.

If the module is removed

Data is retained. The Shadow IT menu disappears from the portal and the extension stops detection. Everything returns upon reactivation.
